Agilent’s QuikChange Lightning kits offer a fast protocol for performing single and multiple site-directed mutagenesis. The kits utilize a rapid linear amplification method in which mutation-containing primers are incorporated but not copied. This enables effective mutagenesis to be performed in under 3 hours.
Other commercially available kits rely on PCR-based methods which may result in unwanted second-site errors. In addition, QuikChange Lightning site directed mutagenesis kits allow you to introduce point mutations, insertions, or deletions faster. The QuikChange Lightning Multi Kit also delivers mutants up to three times faster than our original multi-site mutagenesis kit.
